So ... a little about me. I've been married to my awesome, supportive husband for more than 30 years and we have two great "children" - a daughter and a son.
My original training and working background is in the field of radiation therapy. I spent many years before the children were born, and while they were young, enjoying a satisfying career as a radiation therapist, clinical tutor, and lecturer in the health and education sectors. My husband is an engineer and our careers have enabled us to live in several parts of New Zealand - and even to spend a couple of exciting years in Regina, Canada. When the children were teenagers I stepped aside from my full-time career and chose to work part-time in administrative roles.
I have always enjoyed a wide range of creative interests - painting, and papercrafts, and sewing, and photography, and digital publishing, and needlework and baking - there's usually more than one creation or activity on the go. I first started cardmaking and papercraft when the children were young and it is has grown as an area of particular interest and one I enjoy immensely.
I was introduced to Stampin' Up!® a few years ago and fell in love with their quality products - awesome stamps, fantastic colours, superb cardstock, amazing punches, vivid designer series papers, a range of paper-crafting tools, and numerous accessories.
And things co-ordinate!
Colours match ... punches fit stamps ... embossing folders co-ordinate with images.
What more could you ask for?!
I've so enjoyed using these products to make cards and 3D items and to dabble in scrapbooking.
in 2013 I decided to be more than a "happy shopper" demo - but to establish myself as an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin' Up! in the area. I held cardmaking classes at my home to share and demonstrate the quality products from Stampin' Up! and aim to inspire others to tap into their creative side. I no longer hold those classes, but am still available to hold Stampin' Up! workshops ("parties") in your home where you and a group of friends can experience the Stampin' Up! product range - including a make-n-take project. If you have a group that would like to do a private class I'd love to work with you. I sometimes offer Online - or classes-to-go - Classes which mean you can craft with me anywhere in New Zealand.
I am passionate about the importance of recording our memories - particularly our photos! It worries me that we take so very many pictures, but most often they stay on our digital devices! I love that Stampin' Up! has a range of memory keeping products which are available in our exclusive colour palette and the matching products. I'd love to help you on the path getting those memories recorded.
Who would have thought that 2 1/2 years after I decided to step-it-up and be a business demo, that I would earn the Annual Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip - WOW! I was humbled by the support I got from many people as I reached for that goal - and met it. I have earned the Annual Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip for five consecutive years. Hubby & I had a fabulous Mediterranean Cruise, I shared the Phuket trip with daughter Beth, finally holidayed with my two sisters when we did the Alaskan Cruise and just recently enjoyed the magnificence of the Greek Isles on a cruise with Roy. I have recently achieved the level to earn the next trip - Maui in 2020. Thanks again to Stampin' Up!, my family and friends and customers - I truly appreciate your support! (Disclaimer: Fewer than 1% of Stampin' Up!'s demonstrators worldwide achieve these results.)
If you are familiar with Stampin' Up! products then you'll know why I love them.
If you're new to Stampin' Up! - I'd love to "Inspire. Create. Share." with you.
